Value for Money:- We have continued to restructure the way the County Council works. We have , Less Managers, Less staff, Less Bureaucracy,
We have reduced the County Spend by £267m over the last 8 years. Sold over 100 properties. Raised £30million which has been invested back into other projects. We will continue to dispose of surplus property which then reduces the running costs of the organisation.
We have not closed a single library but transferred all 50 libraries into a charitable trust (Libraries Unlimited), Have restructured the Youth Service and established them as a stand alone company. Invested in cycleways around the County icluding the Exe Estuary and Drakes trails and Granite and Gears across Dartmoor.
